Meal Memories Privacy Policy

JMacApps respects your privacy. Meal Memories is designed to help you save, organize, and revisit information about meals you want to remember.
Information Stored on Your Device
Meal Memories may store information you choose to enter, including meal names, photos, ratings, meal types, notes, prices, restaurant information, locations, and other details associated with a meal.
In the current version of Meal Memories, this saved meal information is stored locally on your device. JMacApps does not operate a server that collects or stores your meal database.
Photos and Camera
If you choose to take a photo or select an image from your photo library, Meal Memories uses that image only to provide the features you request, such as saving a meal or analyzing it with an optional AI feature.
Meal Memories requests access to your camera or photo library only when those features are used.
Voice Input
Meal Memories includes optional voice-assisted entry. If you choose to use voice features, the app may request access to your microphone and speech-recognition services.
Voice features are used only to help you enter information into the app. Processing may be handled by Apple and iOS services according to your device settings and Apple’s applicable privacy practices.
Location Information
If you choose to use features that depend on location, Meal Memories may request access to your device location to help associate a meal with a place or restaurant.
Location information is used only to provide the feature you request.
AI Features
Meal Memories includes optional AI-assisted features that can help identify or describe a meal and speed up data entry.
When supported by your device and version of iOS, AI processing may be performed directly on the device.
When on-device AI is unavailable or cannot perform the requested function, Meal Memories may use Google Geminias a fallback. In that situation, information needed to complete the request, such as a meal photo or related meal information, may be transmitted to Google Gemini for processing.
Meal Memories uses AI processing only when you choose to use an AI-assisted feature.
JMacApps does not sell information submitted through Meal Memories or use it for advertising.
Third-Party Services
Some optional features may rely on services provided by Apple or Google. Information processed by those services is subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.
Tracking and Advertising
Meal Memories does not use your meal information for advertising and does not use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Sharing
Meal Memories does not intentionally share your saved meal information except when necessary to provide a feature you request, such as optional Google Gemini AI processing, or when you choose to share information yourself.
Data Deletion
Because Meal Memories stores its meal database locally on your device, you can delete individual meals within the app. Removing Meal Memories from your device may also remove locally stored app data.
Children’s Privacy
Meal Memories is not specifically directed to children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when Meal Memories changes or new features are added. The effective date above will be updated when appropriate.
